5 eles, 20 dmg per attack (flare or such) normal ele spam on warriors, for those who dont have a clue at all... 5 attacks each.... so that is 5x5x20=500
or if u reduce it by 7 dmg each attack.... thats 5x5x13=325..... not so "ridiculously small" amount now.... 175 hp could be life or death....

PER HIT!!! if ur playing a team that only hits u one time.... let me know who and where, cause i want to fight them!

10%of 500hp or more you're saving 50hp. Its en enchantment so counting on that to save a warrior is a bad idea considering how easily it can be shattered.
The extra damage adds up thats the problem.

ADAPT, OVERCOME, IMPROVISE!!!

It's entirely possible that the good folks at A-net took other steps to mitigate the negative effects of this nerf. I've got a shield that's -2 physical, but it's +10 armor vs fire damage. Who knows, maybe more shields with elemental resistance buffs will show up. I can also see a big demand for Wardng mods, as soon as people stop whining & move on.

Well if you are still very dead even with prot spirit, then you would have died anyway. Because 10% is 10% whether you have absorbtion or not. You guys keep forgetting that Warriors still have the best AL, so it's not like the other classes are now suddenly better at tanking. You take more damage, but still less than everyone else, but I guess you guys care so much only because your precious farming build depended on that damage absorbtion.

No. Wars have the best armor vs physical. Every other dmg they are just like everyone else. I can get every class up to 80 armor and a monk up to 95 with no skills needed.

That is a HUGE problem. Dmg reduction is what made the warrior what it is. Without it is a slow assassin with less mobility.

THE FACT IS IT IS BEST ARMOR VS PHYSICAL.....HOW MANY WARRIORS THAT YOU KNOW OF TAKE ONLY ONLY PHYSICAL...NOT ANY IN GW...MAYBE IN YOUR MIND THEY DO

FOR A WARRIOR YOUR BIGGEST THREAT IS NOT ANOTHER WARRIOR IT IS ELEMENTAL ATTACKS.

ALL CLASSES CAN DO ELEMENTAL THE PHYSICAL IS NOT A BIG DEAL

And a warrior can have over 100 AL against everything if they want to. What you prefer to do with your warrior is your own problem.

Elemental can be a threat to everyone, not just the warrior. If you think your pathetic insults affects me, you are dead wrong. You only look like 10 years old kid.

/overreact.

Look, I can understand why many of you who play warriors are kind of upset, I would be too if what one of the things my class did best was changed for the weaker. I play a mostly PvE elementalist, and I can tell you, the first thing I thought of when I heard about the AI update wasn't "ZOMG my main character is now worthless what am I gonna do?" It was more along the lines of "I wonder what I could do differently now to make up for it? More single burst AoE would work..." Now, I know that these are different things, but it certainly doesn't make your warrior worthless. Maybe you should change your builds around to focus more on defence if that's what you're after or more on offence if that's your goal. And, before anyone says anything, I could really care less about the fact that my attacks will be doing less damage to a warrior, because, as mentioned above, I don't PvP enough to care.

The armor is on a deminshing returns system. The more armor AL you have the less it reduces the dmg. For instance. Going from 60 to 80 armor is a 1/4 reduction in dmg. While going from 80 armor to 100 is a 1/8 reduction. 100 to 120 is a 1/16 reduction.

Just because you have more armor doesn't mean you it is a base dmg reduction.

See, thats the spirit. I wish everyone would think like you and try to adapt instead of whining to no end.

Okay fine, so the AI doesn't sit around twidling their thumbs (If they've evolved that far) going 'do-do-do-do-do' as it rains fire upon them and they stand there cluelessly as their flesh burns off and falls to the ground going "splat, splat, splat" yet they still fail to notice and dance about their happy little squirrel dances, despite whether or not they belong in the squirrel family, and finally have the most quizzical death as they wonder what has led to their seemingly obvious death. It's to make it more "practical" in a sense then "realistic" and the armor update seems more "practical" then "realistic" to me. Better?

Yech - if warriors were bad enough before that they relied on -7 damage taken to keep them going, it's good to have them gone.

How about we take a monks heals since that keeps them going?

How about we take energy storage away since that's what keeps eles going?

What about AoD for assassins?

Rit Lord for Rits?

Every class has something that helps them do their job. Never has that been removed from a class before till now.

I recomend that all of the noob warriors learn how to selcet their armor on what works for them and not base it on cookie cutter builds.

Nice job with the armor fix, Anet.

It was never about a cookie cutter choice. It was simply the BEST choice. Now all the armors are on even ground. They are all equally crap except glads. Ya, that makes thing better doesn't it?
